Also check out this room I was in at bliss. It's impossible to really show how small it is but I got all of one wall and the twin bed so imagine that wall on all four sides and that's the room.

I'm going to Sill. Leaving today, due to army regs I can't drive the whole distance at once so not getting there till tomorrow. Hope it doesn't suck; my only experience with the place was basic training which doesn't mean anything to me now. Except maybe I should do PT with them so I can lose 40 pounds in two months again. Also I hope the Internet doesn't suck there. I had my fill of suck Internet in Japan.

So I finally got back to el paso, ready to inprocess in to my new unit. Then I got told my orders were deleted. Then, and this is the good part, I was informed that I would be going on to ft. Sill. That's in Oklahoma. Also since I already bought a car, I have to drive. But I have no plates yet. What the heck D: this is going to be fun. I'm totally being facetious. I don't know if I spelled that right.

Spore! I made these using just the very limited demo of the Creature Creator, so I think anyone can see how powerful the full thing is going to be as far as creating....well, creatures. Distinct creatures. After the initial rush of penis monsters in the first day or two, I'm interested to see what kinds of things the Spore community will churn out.
These are all monsters from the game Monster Hunter. Using just the limited parts in the demo of SCC I was able to mostly recreate them. Except of course Spore makes everything cute, even scaleless, hairless, eyeless cave monstrosities. |

Well, it finally happened. My Xbox red ringed. I called support and was informed that I have to pay my own shipping and provide my own box to get it to them since I have a military address, which seems kind of dodgy to me, but whatever. I'm thinking about just getting that cheap Arcade version that's around and putting my HDD and such on that, since at least I'll have a new console and not a refurbished one. Then I can give my old one away to a friend of mine who probably would like to own it. |

I dunno what it is lately but all I want to watch are dramas. Anyway, this one is kind of old, it came out in America only last year but it aired in Japan in 2003-2004. It's originally based on (what else) an eroge that came out in 2000 and then later on the Dreamcast and PS2 in family friendly flavors.
Anyhow, it's called Kimi ga Nozomu Eien and its a typical drama, but it's not bad at all. I think I spoiled it for myself by trying to find out if it was a game or what, but I'm still not sure how things will turn out as my torrent has been extremely slow all weekend and I'm only up to episode 8. I'd outline more of the plot but there's a huge spoiler in the second episode that the whole anime pretty much hinges on, so I can't say anything, really. I believe mininova and thepiratebay both have the complete series for download.
Apparently it's available on the Xbox Live marketplace, if you're into that kind of thing. It's not even an option for me though, thanks to my JP IP address. Anyway, I recommend it if you haven't seen it already. Jim. |

Does anyone else have a hard time understanding the uproar over the cancellation of the XBLA port of Goldeneye? I mean...the game is over 10 years old now and has aged VERY badly, almost as badly as FF7. Even with upped resolution and online support, it just wouldn't be as good as our rose-colored memory glasses remember it.
Perfect Dark was a better game, anyway, especially with the multiplayer.
And so many people claiming Nintendo are The Devil now for pulling the plug on this. I mean, seriously, who cares. Bad game, wouldn't have bought the VC version anyway, so if Nintendo wants to lose money on this, then let them.

Just got back from seeing 'I am Legend'. Was pretty good.
Like 'The Matrix', I hadn't ever seen a preview or even heard of it really before hand. Since I don't have TV I don't really get exposed to that kind of media. So basically, I had no idea what the movie was really about except for the fact that it was some kind of post-apocolyptic setting. I didn't expect some crazy ass zombie things.
But anyway, yeah. Good movie. |
